I’m playing around with different backgrounds for photographing my pottery. My inclination is natural outside lighting with a rustic wood background as seen below.
Most of my earlier pictures are taken outside with a white background.
Both give a dramatically different effect! What do you think?
In both instances, however, I’m fighting glare. I’m not sure I can get totally away with a non-glare photograph but I’m certainly trying. Sometimes I don’t even see the glare until after I take the picture and notice the glare glaring at me from the computer screen!
Believe it or not cloudy days seem to provide the perfect lighting. Thought today was going to be cloudy. Planned to take pictures of pottery but the clouds gave way to beautiful clear blue skies and white puffy clouds. So, I snapped!
