It has been a wet, soggy and humid couple of weeks.
Ideal condition for the weeds to take over.

Meanwhile, on my back porch I’ve been busy throwing.

It was so soggy and humid I thought I would never be able to remove the freshly thrown mugs from the bats and attach handles.
BAT: Not the mammal bat 🦇 (although, I’m sure we have a few!) but a round flat piece of wood, plastic or plaster that is placed on the head of a pottery wheel to enable the potter to remove thrown pieces off the wheel.

I was finally able to attach handles and the high humidity was perfect. Low humidity levels can cause pottery to crack. 😱 So humidity can be a potters best friend.
As for my hair?
Not so much. 😄
I foresee a lot of weeding in my future! 🌱

This made me smile. The weeds- yep, just when you think you got a handle on them, they come up so fast. The pottery looks lovely and the humidity- oh yes my hair is a direct indicator of the level of humidity in the air.

I can relate to the flooding cartoon – we’ve had almost biblical amounts of rain in Sydney Australia, and the garden has slipped past ‘thriving’ to ‘surviving’ as a result! (LOVE your pottery!) Linda xox
