Last day of July?!? 😱
Summer seems to be zooming along!
Foxes have moved on.
Rabbits have moved back.
So, I resorted to growing lettuce in a bucket near the house away from little bunnies.
I think my bucket of home grown lettuce is coming along nicely.

The squirrels finished off my sunflowers and have moved on to my tomatoes . . .every single green tomato.

Now that I finally caught up with all the weeding in the vegetable garden and flower beds, rain is expected for the next two, three maybe four days.
Meanwhile….
Clay shaped into various vessels and completely air dried await the first of two firings.

The other pieces that have been through the first firing are being glazed this week.

This last week of July, we have been enjoying our homegrown black berries and fresh farmer’s market peaches!
Summer bliss!

“Live in each season as it passes: breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit.” ~ Henry David Thoreau
Love your lettuce in a bucket. Ha! My wildlife is the same, the chuck comes and nibbles…
Your pottery looks beautiful. 🥰

I’m thinking next year all of my veggies will be in pots and buckets on the back porch! LOL.

The Lettuce looks good. Pottery looks beautiful and I guess you are unintentionally providing great food for the bunnies 🤷🏻♀️

I too love the offerings of each season, especially after 40 years in FL where seasonal changes are much more subtle. Give me cold days and a cup of hearty soup, balmy days of sunshine and flowers, crisp days with bright, fiery foliage! And praise God for the glory of each one.
