I have been working on nesting bowls this week. Each bowl is made from a slab of clay draped over clay molds I made last winter.
It has taken me several tries to work out all the kinks in the process.
The third time worked like a charm!
After these air dry, they will undergo a bisque firing in preparation for glazing.
I am thinking about just glazing the inside of the bowls leaving the bottoms bare and natural similar to the bare bottom side plates I made last summer. I really like the look and feel of the natural bare stoneware.
Look for these nesting bowls and more to be in my shop mid to late April May!
Now, back to the kiln repairs!
