In Brief

He’s making progress.

Not at quickly as he and I would like but it’s progress.

Mental illness and depression are not easy subjects to tackle, despite the fact that many of us have had contact or personal experience with it.

It can be debilitating, frustrating, even deadly.

It is horrific to witness such suffering.

But, here we are taking one moment at at time.

A heartfelt thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers.

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

— Isaiah 41:10 NKJV

  1. May the Lord continue hold your brother and praying Psalm 40:2-3 over him

    “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. “

  2. Depression has been a trait passed down in my family, to various members (though not to me). It IS debilitating and frustrating. I pray that your brother’s physicians will be able to pinpoint the best medication, and that the results (though slow in coming perhaps) will eventually bring him relief. In the meantime I pray you are strengthened for each moment, and BLESSED each day to keep you encouraged.
