I am back behind my wheel throwing things!

Because my back porch studio is open to all the elements and whims of Mother Nature my production is determined by the weather.
We have had rain and thunderstorms just about every day for two weeks which is slowing production down quite a bit.
Meanwhile, the squirrel(s) are busy reforesting the area. (Several of our neighbors have had huge trees cut down over the past couple of years which, I believe, has upset the neighborhood squirrels 🐿️)
So far, squirrel has gifted us a Buckeye tree and a Butternut tree pictured below on the left. Though squirrel is crafty, squirrel did not put the seedlings into the pots. 😆 I found the seedlings in our flower beds, dug them up and potted them.
Pictured on the right is what looks to be an baby Oak tree. I plan to leave it there until it grows into its leaves a bit more for proper identification. If it turns out to be an oak, into a pot it will go and all three will be transplanted into the backyard.
When it is not raining, the mellifluous sound of lawn mowers ring throughout the neighborhood.
And, of course there is much weeding to do!

The strawberries are doing very well this year. Squirrel has shown no interest in them . . . yet.
And the blackberries are blooming already!
When I’m not throwing things, weeding, moving plants and planting seedlings, my husband and I spend time with my brother. About a year ago, he was diagnosed with lung cancer and in November he underwent surgery to remove a malignant tumor from his lung. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread into his bones. A plethora of appointments await as we journey through this next phase of dealing with cancer.
