Back Porch Update

As August comes to an end this weekend, many are back to school.

The long afternoon shadows of August tend to linger in the liminal space between summer and fall.

Squirrel has been busy gathering nuts . . .

. . . and enjoying late afternoons among the flowers eating the last of my parsley.

Luckily, I harvested and dried most of it earlier this summer.

The birdbath continues to be a popular spot on the back porch.

My throwing season is coming to an end.

Next month I will be firing and glazing pottery I made this summer in preparation to sell in my shop on Etsy this fall.

Meanwhile, I’m enjoying the last of the blackberries from our garden along with fresh summer peaches we bought locally.
