Pumpkins, Halloween . . . Squirrel!

The days are shorter.

The nights are longer.

This summer’s end we find ourselves gathering pumpkins!

Grandson found the largest pumpkin.

It weighed forty pounds! 😳

I picked up a teeny tiny pumpkin weighing in at one pound two ounces.

Once home, the carving of the Jack-O-Lanterns began!

We had enough pumpkin and pumpkin seeds to share with our resident squirrel.

When all was said and done, the squirrel had some design input on the expression . . .

Plus a voracious appetite!

“Squirrel shivered his shivery shivers
On a blustery Autumn day
He could feel the North Wind coming
So he scurried off to say
Hurry hurry, scurry scurry
We must all get fat and furry
Not a moment to be lost
Because I can feel old Jacky Frost!”
