Depending on which part of the country you are in, some groundhogs saw their shadow February Second forecasting six more weeks of winter while others, such as our local Buckeye Chuck, did not see his shadow thus forecasting an early spring.
Temperatures rose into the 50’s and 60’s this week!

The snow began to melt.
Turtle emerges.

A blanket of cheery Winter Aconites emerge.

Daffodils emerge up through the mulch.

Tender Columbine emerge from under a bed of leaves.

Squirrel emerged and tapped on the glass door to let me know the birds need more bird seed. 😆

Meanwhile, I have buried my head into my family history. My work bench has been covered with old family photographs, letters, family memorabilia leaving just enough room to box up and ship orders from my Etsy shop.

No winter lasts forever;
no spring skips its turn.

I’m guessing you are in Ohio? May I ask what part? It was 71 here today in central West Virginia. Unfortunately more snow is predicted for Sunday though.

Wow! 71 in February! I’m in Southwest Ohio and it was fairly balmy here this past week. Snow is all gone . . .for now. LOL

We keep getting ‘more snow’ threats but it’s been lovely here most of the week. A bit chilly but ok for some serious gardening!

Threats of snow here too. Garden doesn’t seem to care. LOL

Here in the northern part of the sunshine state we haven’t seen too many flowers blooming yet, except on redbud trees. But it is warm. 82° right now. I’m not ready for the heat to get here. I’ve started doing a lap around the yard. I’m afraid when it gets too hot I will give up. 🥵

Wow! 82 in March. Does seem a bit early for the 80’s. Hopefully, temperatures will not go up too fast for you.
