Emerging From A Long Winter Slumber

Depending on which part of the country you are in, some groundhogs saw their shadow February Second forecasting six more weeks of winter while others, such as our local Buckeye Chuck, did not see his shadow thus forecasting an early spring.

Temperatures rose into the 50’s and 60’s this week!

The snow began to melt.

Turtle emerges.

A blanket of cheery Winter Aconites emerge.

Daffodils emerge up through the mulch.

Tender Columbine emerge from under a bed of leaves.

Squirrel emerged and tapped on the glass door to let me know the birds need more bird seed. 😆

Meanwhile, I have buried my head into my family history. My work bench has been covered with old family photographs, letters, family memorabilia leaving just enough room to box up and ship orders from my Etsy shop.

  1. I’m guessing you are in Ohio? May I ask what part? It was 71 here today in central West Virginia. Unfortunately more snow is predicted for Sunday though.
