I usually don’t complain about the weather unless it is cold.
I do not like being cold.
If it is below 70 degrees, that’s it. I’m complaining.
This spring, however, I find myself complaining about the lack of sun light.
Over the winter, I yearned for bright spring sunny days but so far we have not had very many.
The weeds have taken over: Overgrownus botanicas.
It seems as if I spend my weekends weeding, weeding and weeding.
Amazingly, I’ve been able to keep up with the weekly weeding.
Sort of. . .
I really don’t want to spend every weekend this summer weeding.
I have better thing I’d like to do such as throwing things, blogging, photography and laundry.
Ugh. Don’t get me started on laundry.
Laundry is like . . .weeding!
But I digress.
Last weekend, I was bound and determined to lessen the amount of weeding I must do by placing weed barrier fabric in some of the beds in the vegetable garden. (I ran out of weed barrier fabric which prevented me from covering the whole yard!)
While that is working IN the vegetable beds, weeds STILL proliferate the perimeter of the garden beds.
So, from my back porch studio, I see many thunderstorms roll through this spring.
And now, less weeds.
I remain hopeful, however, that sunnier days are ahead!
