December

We have survived husband’s first year of retirement!

His retirement started off with a bang when we both came down with covid this time last year.

I barely remember last December but we have pictures to prove that we, indeed, celebrated Christmas.

Wow!

The lawn and building a new deck kept husband busy spring and early summer.

I tended to the garden pulling weeds that migrated from the lawn to all the garden beds.

In between pulling weeds, I threw things on the back porch. I do enjoy having my hands in the mud.

On a beautiful October day surrounded by family and friends, our son and the love of his life were married.

After the wedding, we started remodeling our kitchen.

I say “we”. 🙄

What I really mean is I pick out what I want, assist by handing him tools and leave the room when the swearing begins. And the swearing doesn’t necessarily come from husband! 😆

And in-between we lost two very dear people.

As we enter the Christmas season, let us remember those who make the holidays meaningful. I wish you and your family all the love and happiness this season can bring and may it follow you throughout the new year.

Merry Christmas!
