Meanwhile

Back home. . .

These two are waiting for warmer weather and long sunny afternoons to return to the back porch.

Who needs fancy store bought cat beds when a good old box will do.

Notice they are plugged in.

Because both are elderly cats, the warmth from the heating pad beneath the blanket makes them feel toasty while gazing out the window on these cold wet spring days.

In other news, our kitchen is almost finished!

Started in November.

The only things left to do is to decide on a backsplash and paint.

Meanwhile, we have the stucco look!

The fridge is gigantic. It didn’t look THAT big in the store 😳 I do like the larger fridge. I can actually FIND something! 😀

I’ve been busy unpacking stuff from the house of a family member that passed last fall.

And packing up other stuff for Goodwill.

I just seem to be moving piles of stuff from one place to another!

Spending a lot of time going through old pictures, letters and cards in the hopes of compiling a family history-story journal-scrapbook thing.

I am a bit overwhelmed by the boxes of family history stuff but eager to sort through it and create more piles! 😂

In the meantime, we will try not to wash away.  Looks as if we are in for a lot of rain over the next several days this week and into the next.

You’ll never find a rainbow if you are looking down.

  1. I love the big fridge at the family house too, and it turns out no matter what I stuff it with, the teens say ‘there’s nothing to eat’. 😀

Love your kitchen! And love your plugged in cats, too. ha ha 😉

    1. Ah, yes. The ‘there’s nothing to eat’ cry of teens. 😄
Our kitchen redo was waaaay overdue by about 20 years. We are almost done and still married! 😍
Cats are quite happy now that they are plugged in. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that over the winter. LOL
