A View from my Back Porch

My kiln is fixed (YEAH!!!) and hard at work on my back porch!

Firing greenware (unfired air dried clay) as quickly as I can.

Then glazing . . .

and glazing some more.

Because it has been so horridly humid and buggy this month, I have taken refuge indoors where I am hand-building bowls from slabs of clay draped over plaster molds. The white circles pictured on the right are the plaster molds. The newly made bowls are wrapped in plastic where they will sit on a shelf and dry slowly.

While inside, I am catching up on the back-office stuff: editing photographs for my shop on etsy, typing item descriptions, pricing, shipping, etc . .
