November Notes

A carpet of leaves are scattered across the back porch.

I fired my last kiln load of the season.

I made new plate settings to go with our new kitchen and I am tickled with the results!

The mug on top is a prototype of soup mugs I plan to add to my shop next year.

Time to stock up on shipping supplies this month in preparation for the Holiday season as orders are picking up in my shop.

My brother, who has gone through a lot over the past few months, is now facing surgery next week to remove a mass from his lung. Though he may not see the work of Him in his life, I do. Your thoughts and prayers are sustaining and greatly appreciated.

At first the trees are tinged with yellow or red, then a few leaves start to fall; the first chilly morning is felt, the days are noticeably shorter, and there’s a hint of change in the air. The abundant growth of high summer looks blowsy now, and in the kitchen garden the harvest gathers pace. This is a magical time of year when the contrast between light and dark is most apparent, and there is a richness in the land. Time to celebrate the bountiful earth.

Have a blessed weekend!
