May has been one of the wettest months of 2026.
Word has it, this May was the 4th wettest May ever recorded.
In our area, we had 4.62 inches in 90 minutes.
With the ground heavily saturated from five to six days of rain, water had nowhere to go except through our back yard.

The photographs simply did not do the torrent of water any justice so I made a video!
(First video ever on my blog!)
Luckily, the raised garden beds were just high enough to keep the rushing water from washing everything away.
Nothing but sunny skies in the forecast for the next five days!
Finally, I’ll be back behind the wheel throwing things!

“May the flowers remind us why the rain was so necessary.” ~ an anonymous poet

WOW! That’s a lot of water!

It sure was a lot of water. Very thankful there was not any lasting damage.

Louisville’s been getting a lot of rain, too. I drove past the zoo and saw some animals lining up two-by-two…

Yikes! 😱 In our area we have had a lot of wildfires and we were very dry. But thankfully in the last few weeks God has been bringing rain. ☔️

Happy to hear the rain has brought some relief to your area. Florida, right?
